Software Installation

Program Editor and Robot Control software are installed on the microarrayer on-board computer. They can also be installed on an external PC. This document describes software installation on a Windows 11 PC. ( Installing the software on Mac or Linux computers is similar ).

Java Installation

Microarrayer software requires Java to be installed on the computer. There is a chance that Java is already installed on your PC.

Check Java

- Click Start button - In the Search window type "cmd" ... - Run Command Prompt - In the Command Prompt window type "java -version" ... If the output contains line showing version of Java means Java is installed. openjdk version "11.0.15" 2022-04-19 LTS Other versions can be installed. Any version from 8 and over will work. If no Java is installed on the PC it has to be downloaded and installed.

Download Java 17(LTS)

Download free version of Java SDK - Java 17(LTE) from this link. Download an .MSI installer ... Run the downloaded installer and follow all default options. Check Java installation as described above.

Software and Data Transfer

Software and data can be transfered to the PC from microarrayer controller or downloaded from the vendors online storage. Download Option - Please contact the vendor and request the software archive for your arrayer. (You will need part number indicated on the back side of the cabinet). - Download lnt.zip file and unzip it into C:/lnt folder on your PC. Transfer from Arrayer Option Please refer to the On-line Access and Operations section of this manual. COnnect to the microarrayer and transfer lnt folder to the PC In both cases resulting folder will be C:/lnt on your PC.

Program Editor and Robot Control Installation

C:/lnt folder contains files r.jar e.jar The files are "Robot Control" and "Program Editor" software modules. Double-click on the file will run the corresponding module. Make shortcuts on the Desktop for r.jar and e.jar You can use "R" and "E" icons for the shortcuts from c:/lnt/data/img
